In September, the Kashmir valley in India was hit with worst flood disaster impacting millions of lives. DFY-USA partnered with DFY-India, which provided medical relief on ground through setting up medical camps in the affected areas. Additionally, we raised awareness and funds in US amounting to $13,072 through a fundraiser event and donations to help support DFY-India with the cost of running on-ground medical camps.

In addition, we hosted a fundraiser event to introduce DFY-USA and our programs to the community. The event featured:

• An Indian Buffet (by A Spice Lane)
• Dance and Song Programs by volunteers
• Henna and Nail Art
• Informational session on our organization, partners
• Video footage of situation in Kashmir and talk from on-ground volunteer
