Case Summary
Baby Annu is a 8 month old baby girl who had a congential heart disease called PDA (patent ductus arteriosus – It is hole between two major blood vessels leading from the heart). This opening can be closed through a non-open heart catheter based procedure using a surgical equipment called Duct Occluder. Annu, is the only child to her parents. Her father works as a daily wage laborer and could not afford the surgery. The cost of this equipment was RS 38,850 ( USD 588). With support of our donors we were able to help Annu with this surgical correction.
