Case Summary
Nandini is a 5 months old girl living with his father in Delhi. She had a congenital heart condition: Patent Ductus arterioles (PDA) that causes the blood from the left and right sides of her heart to mix and her brain and rest of body to get only partly oxygenated blood. If it does not close on it’s own, it should have ideally be repaired within the first few months of life. Her father works as a help at a dhaba.and earns INR 5500 per month (~85 USD per month)!
