Case Summary

Nitin is a young 11 month old boy born with two defects in his heart: VSD (hole between the two large chambers of the heart) and pulmonary stenosis (narrowing of the blood vessel which supplies blood to lungs for oxygenation). As a result his young developing brain and body has not been getting adequate oxygen- which is vital for development at his young age! Untreated this will not only stunt his growth, but also risks him of a shorter lifespan! A corrective surgery by experienced heart surgeons at Medanta Hospital can change this… and YOU can help bring about this change!!

The surgery costs INR 100,000/- (USD 1478/-). His family consists of his mother and 2 siblings. His father is a labourer but does not actively contribute to the family. Still the family is able to contribute INR 25,000 (USD 370/-). True to our mission, DFY-USA has decided to help this family and Nitin to get his much needed surgery as soon as possible by pledging to bear the rest of the cost!
