Case Summary
Rahul is a lively 2 year old born with a heart defect called ASD: Atrial Septal Defect because of which oxygen enriched blood gets mixed with blood poor in oxygen and his vital organs including brain does not get adequate oxygen. Children with uncorrected ASD often don’t grow well and are also at risk of serious infections.
Rahul needs a surgery in which this hole can be closed. His father is a house servant and earns a monthly salary of INR 7000/- (~107$) and is unable to afford the cost of the surgery on his own. Identifying the life changing potential of his surgery, DFY-USA has offered to help Rahul!!
