Case Summary
Shiv Bahadur is a 10 year old Nepalese boy living with his father in Delhi. He had a congenital heart condition: Patent Ductus arterioles (PDA) that causes the blood from the left and right sides of his heart to mix and his brain and rest of body to get only partly oxygenated blood. Ideally should have been repaired within the first few months of life. However in Shiv’s case the treatment was delayed due to financial constraints. With your help DFY USA was able to support and fund Shivs treatment to prevent any complications and allow him to live a happy and healthy life!
